Lorie Beth Conlin, a Canadian gone south, is our Dive Master. This is what she has to say about her time in Tulum:
"In 1987, I arrived in Quintana Roo for a vacation. Overwhelmed by the Caribbean, I extended my ticket and became an instructor for PADI in Akumal. Two years later, I became certified as an Instructor for the National Speleological Society Cave Diving Section (NSSCDS). I worked in dive shops in Akumal for over 7 years. I then took a couple of years off from teaching diving to concentrate on my passion for cave exploration and survey. Now I am employed by Tankah Inn. We have a fully equipped Dive Service that caters to students and small groups of certified divers (maximum capacity 8). We are the only dive boat in Tankah Bay, which offers a vibrant living reef -- pristine and untouched. The Caribbean at its best! We operate on a flexible schedule; dive groups set our schedule, and experience levels set the dive plan."
